Here’s a little video, explaining why I am trying to get round to meet as many electors in Berwickshire, Roxburgh and Selkirk as possible, but keep hitting the energy buffers due to #LongCovid and #Depression just when I want to be out on the campaign trail.
None of my fluctuating disabilities, however, get in the way of me being your best, most positive and most ambitious choice as your new MP for Berwickshire, Roxburgh and Selkirk. I don’t stop working, even if it’s just answering emails or hearing what local organisations and businesses are up to.
So, vote confidently for me, Ellie Merton, on 04 July assured I am the local candidate who understands the benefits system from the inside and has everyone’s best interests at heart, wherever you have got to in life and whatever your circumstances.

Thank you so much! I really hope to do everyone proud, whatever the result and I hope I can do more to bolster people who might also be struggling a bit and show them that the feelings they may be experiencing are temporary, and however much a drag at their peak, often subside to something more workable. 😁💪🌸
Dear Ellie, I am impressed by your honesty and determination in this video. And by your manifesto. I wish you all the best. Morelle
Summoning energy is an art. If you do what you are meant to be doing, so that the soul fills from beyond, you gain energy. This is why Christ said, “I have food of which you know nothing.” Stick with your natural gifting, don’t get pushed into corners that are not of your choosing, and don’t WASTE energy on fruitless activity – be led from within. You could find some music metaphors for the discipline of this – the conductor, the score, the melody, the triumph of achievement…..
