Quick pit stop at Pearson’s the Coal (as I still call it) mid belting around the constituency talking to local farmers, Berwickshire Marine Reserve, fabulous residents at local coffee mornings, posties, cabbies, dog walkers and anyone that I see. Really enjoying explaining my manifesto pledges and assuring electors every single vote for me is an investment in the future as I am a woman on a mission: even after this election, I will not take no for an answer and will work flat out with anyone and everyone to deliver my ambitious agenda for the region.
I recognise I don’t have all the answers but, come hell or high water, I will draw together the people that *do* have the answers and power, to sit and work collectively to deliver at pace the solutions we desperately need to local problems.
Now I’m up and running as a local politician, I am here to stay. You’ll be seeing a lot of me in the weeks, months and years to come. And, by working cross-party, I will get things done.
Vote on 04 July (or today by postal vote!) for me, Ellie Merton, as your local, friendly, determined woman to make all our lives in Berwickshire, Roxburgh and Selkirk that much better.
