The last of my major weekend commitments away from the constituency is done and dusted, although I’m no good for anything today except catching up on local voters’ emails, hundreds of which are hitting my inbox daily. I am delighted to have been approached by so many constituents with detailed requests for action, and expressions of interest in how I might differ from party candidates in what I intend to do as their MP once they’ve kindly lent me their vote.
